Narrative-Led Visitor Experiences
Designing immersive storytelling experiences for heritage sites, town centres and visitor attractions.
Introduction
We design narrative-led visitor experiences that transform how people engage with place.
Working with heritage organisations, town centre regeneration teams and visitor attractions, we create immersive, story-driven experiences that increase dwell time, encourage exploration and strengthen emotional connection to site.
Our work ranges from seasonal activations and site-specific storytelling trails to immersive live experiences and interactive visitor journeys.

How We Work
Our Approach to Visitor Experience Design
Every site has its own stories, rhythms and audiences. We begin by understanding context — including heritage significance, visitor demographics and commercial objectives.
From there, we develop narrative frameworks that guide how visitors move through and interact with a space. Experiences are designed to feel intuitive, engaging and rooted in place, while remaining operationally practical and adaptable.
Where required, we collaborate with local partners, community groups, performers, technologists and fabricators to realise installations and live activations safely and effectively.
Outcomes
Designed for Impact
Our visitor experiences are created to:
Increase visitor engagement and dwell time
Encourage repeat visits and shared participation
Strengthen local identity and sense of place
Support regeneration and cultural funding objectives
Enhance secondary spend opportunities within attractions
Collaborative Delivery
We regularly work alongside heritage teams, regeneration officers, marketing departments and attraction managers to ensure experiences are aligned with operational needs and audience expectations.
Our role is to shape narrative and engagement strategy while integrating seamlessly with existing teams.
If you are currently shaping a visitor experience and would value narrative-led input within your wider team, we’d be pleased to explore how we can contribute.
Case Study: Finding Alice - Llandudno
Location
Llandudno Town Centre
Format
Self-guided mixed-reality storytelling experience
Audience
Families and multi-generational visitors
Model
Ticketed direct-to-consumer experience
Engagement
123 teams booked so far
Finding Alice is a monetised, self-guided visitor experience that reimagines Llandudno through the lens of Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland. Designed as a mobile-enabled interactive hunt, the experience encourages families to explore the town centre while uncovering narrative fragments, clues and immersive interactions along the way.
By blending digital storytelling with physical exploration, the project demonstrates how place-based narrative design can activate high streets, increase dwell time and generate direct ticket revenue — all without ongoing staffing requirements.
Commercial & Strategic Outcomes
Direct ticket revenue generated through self-guided format
Increased visitor exploration across multiple town centre locations
Branching narrative experience encouraging repeat visits
Scalable IP model adaptable to other town centres
Low operational overhead once deployed
