    About the Role – Elin y Cerrig:

    Playing Age: 30–50 years

    Character Summary: Elin y Cerrig is a wise and charismatic guardian of the limestone habitat of the Great Orme. She will lead school groups through an engaging and educational experience focusing on the rare invertebrates that inhabit the limestone terrain.

    This is an immersive role requiring strong improvisational skills and the ability to remain fully in character while facilitating learning.

    The performance sits between a workshop and a theatrical experience, aiming to educate while enchanting.

  • Prop, Set and Costume Designer

    We are seeking a creative and practical Prop, Set, and Costume Designer to design and build two distinctive costumes for performers and a suite of engaging props for use in the classroom. These elements will form the visual and tactile core of an interactive learning journey for children aged 7–11, combining science education with theatrical storytelling.

    Key Responsibilities

     Costume Design (2 Performers)

    Design and construct two visually distinctive, practical costumes reflecting characters or creature themes linked to the Orme's biodiversity

    Ensure costumes are performance-ready, transportable, and comfortable for actors working in school environments

    Work collaboratively with the creative team to develop the visual identity of the characters

  • Bilingual Artist/Illustrator

    We are now seeking a bilingual Artist/Illustrator to both design a central character for the project and co-deliver creative classroom workshops that explore its environmental themes through visual storytelling and hands-on activities.

    Role Overview

    This is a dual role combining creative illustration with arts-based facilitation. The successful applicant will:

    Design and illustrate the project’s central character, Elin y Cerrig – Guardian of the Limestone

    Create visual resources and artwork to support the delivery and legacy of the project

    Co-deliver creative, bilingual classroom sessions, designed by the project lead, offering input and artistic support during delivery

  • Welsh Translator

    We are seeking a fluent Welsh translator to work alongside the project lead during the resource development phase, translating written content from English into clear, engaging Welsh for Key Stage 2 learners.

    Key Responsibilities

    Translate a range of written educational materials, worksheets, activity guides, and background resources into Welsh

    Work closely with the Puzzle Junction project lead to ensure translations align with the project tone, themes, and learning goals

    Ensure all Welsh content is age-appropriate, curriculum-friendly, and accessible for learners aged 7–11

    Review and edit draft translations to ensure clarity, cultural appropriateness, and consistency across the pack

    Provide feedback on content development from a Welsh-medium perspective where relevant
